This copse of araucaria, with total number of 28 trees, next to Chengkung Lake（成功湖）was donated by the class of 1928, on the occasion of their 50th class reunion in 1978. Making a pleasing combination with the original pines, they evoke the traditional Chinese saying, “It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years to bring up a generation of good men.”（十年樹木百年樹人）
