Located on the lawn in front of the Main Auditorium, this stainless steel sculpture by Yang Yu Yu（楊英風）was commissioned by the class of 1976. Its solid mass and protruding fins lend Phoenix an air of vigor and grace, and its mirror-like surface reflects both the viewer and the surroundings, conveying the idea of the integral unity of nature and man.
