Lotus Pond(荷塘)
Lotus Pond(荷塘)
Located in front of the Nuclear Reactor Building, the Lotus Pond hosts a wide array of aquatic plants and takes on a new appearance in each season. Frequent visitors include grey wagtails, their bright yellow feathers set off nicely by the pink flowers, as well as pure-white egrets of all sizes. In recent years the Pond has become home to a flock of common moorhens, who are frequently seen crossing the road on their way to the nearby drainage ditch.
