Humanities and Social Sciences Building(人文社會學院)

One of three buildings at NTHU designed by architect Li Zu Yuan(李祖原), the fortress-like Humanities and Social Sciences Building(1990)features a central courtyard and a soaring bell tower visible throughout the campus. Viewed from a distance, the building is said to resemble a coiled dragon, with the main entrance as the gaping mouth, the small plaza in front of the main entrance as the dragon’s pearl, and the bell tower as the tail.
