In the 1980s, as the campus population steadily grew, a number of new restaurants and other student facilities appeared around Chengkung Lake. Amongst these was the Shuimu Student Center（1982）, designed by architects Han Yin De（漢寅德）and Han Bao De（漢寶德）. Amongst the Center’s facilities are a restaurant, a general store, a copy shop, a laundromat, an ATM, an activity room, and a writing center.
