Located to the right of the stairway in the Mei Garden, the Yuehan Pavilion（1978）was built to mark the 15th anniversary of NTHU president Mei Yi Chi’s（梅貽琦）passing, and was sponsored by Mei’s brother Mei Yi Pao（梅貽寶）, who served as the president of Yenching University（燕京大學）. On the center of the floor of this white circular pavilion can be seen the NTHU emblem, and the inside panels feature calligraphy written by Mei Yi Pao extolling his older brother. Due to the reverberating echo produced when you chant while standing at the center, this pavilion is also known as the “echo pavilion.”
