Located on the verdant pathway skirting Chengkung Lake（成功湖）, the Bajiao（Octagonal）Pavilion（1976）was sponsored by the class of 1936. Inside the Pavilion is hung a plaque with an inscription meaning “eight poles and four positions” written by former NTHU faculty member George Yeh（葉公超）, who served as the ROC’s ambassador to the United States from 1958 to 1961.
