Located near the West Gate, the first four buildings of this residential area for staff and faculty were completed in 1963, and provided 16 units for staff members and their families. Today this high-density development includes 326 units of all sizes in buildings between two and eight stories high. The limited amount of greenery in this area prompted residents to formulate an environmental impact plan which was the prototype for today’s highly detailed and strictly observed Campus Environmental Impact Regulations.
