Located behind General Building I, the Tsing Hua Gate （1982）, a sized-down replica on a 3:1 scale of the original in Beijing, was sponsored by Yang Cho Cheng（楊卓成）of the class of 1941. In 1998, artist Wang Twin Wood（王存武）surrounded the Gate in a glass frame to create the Mirror Garden（清鏡門）. Next to the Gate is a jasmine bush planted by General Sun Li Jen（孫立人）of the class of 1923, lush with flowers in purple and white—the school colors of NTHU.
